Subject: 2020 Recreational Development Program: House League Cancellation

Dear Members,

Following up to our communication last week, we are excited to announce our Recreational Development Program option for the 2020 Summer season! Based on recent communications from Ontario Soccer and City of Brampton, Brams United Girls Soccer Club does not foresee a League option and therefore cancelling the 2020 Summer House League, but are proud to offer a development option for participants still looking to stay involved in soccer as we await Phase 2 and 3.

The Recreational Development Program (RDP), will provide participants of all ages and abilities the opportunity train once a week with Technical Staff and focus on developing their individual skills. Sessions will follow social distancing and capacity guidelines to ensure a safe environment for the participants. Additionally, all sessions are overseen by an adult Technical Staff, and follow a curriculum developed by the Technical Director that focus on individual development. For full details regarding the program, please click here!

We understand that some families may have a participant or family member who is high-risk or uncomfortable returning to sports this season. Members will have 3 options regarding their 2020 House League registration fee whether they choose to participate in RDP or wait for future programs.

As a not-for-profit organization, we operate primarily on player registration fees. Prior to the pandemic, the Club had invested in supplies required for the original House League Program (uniforms, equipment, registration credit card fees, etc.) and are experiencing a financial impact due to COVID-19. We are requesting consideration to contribute your fees to the Club’s Fee Assistance Program or leaving your fee as a credit on file for future programs. These options will support future programming and allow the Club the opportunity to provide registrations through our Fee Assistance Program to participants that come from a low- income household.

2020 House League Program Fee Form

The form must be completed no later than midnight, Sunday July 19, 2020. Please allow 2-4 weeks after July 19 to receive your credit or refund.

Thank-you to the membership for the continued patience, and should you have any questions regarding the new Recreational Development Program, or the Fee Form above, please contact: customerservice@bramsunited.ca

Sincerely,

Melanie Bradley, General Manager
