Why Become a Match Official
Becoming a Match Official is a fantastic way to give back to game and to the community. Whether you are looking to become involved in the soccer community, maintain your own fitness, or simply earn extra income, refereeing may be for you.

How to Become a Match Official
• All Match Officials must be registered with Ontario Soccer
• Ontario Soccer offers the following two courses for those who wish to become Match Officials:
Course | Minimum Age | Formats |
Small Sided | 12 years of age by March 31st | 5v5 or 7v7 games ONLY |
Entry Level | 14 years of age by March 31st | All games (5v5, 7v7, 9v9, 11v11, assistant referee) |

PowerUp
• To officiate at Brams United, Match Officials must register on PowerUp – the assigning system we use for game assignments
- Please see the instructions here on how to register on PowerUp
- Once registered, your application will be approved by the Manager of Match Officials, and you will then be able to set your availability and receive game assignments
• If you have any questions regarding PowerUp and registering with Brams United SC, please contact our Manager of Match Officials, Angie, at matchofficials@bramsunited.ca
