Outdoor Community Soccer

PROGRAM OVERVIEW

As a fully sanctioned soccer Club, Brams United aligns all programs with Canada Soccer Grassroots Standards. All participants will receive a jersey, shorts, socks, and participant awards. Participants must wear shin pads and soccer cleats/running shoes. Piercings are prohibited and may not be taped.

U4-U7 Season Dates: Week of June 5, 2024 – week of Aug 14, 2024

U8+ Season Dates: Week of May 22, 2024 – week of Aug 14, 2024

Timbits U4-U5

The Active Start Program is designed to introduce players to fundamental movement skills, introductory soccer skills, fair play, and friendship. The fun environment is full of differing soccer activities focused on physical literacy such as ball control, running with the ball, 1v1, and shooting. The program is led by technical staff supported by volunteer assistants, and guardians are encouraged to support their athletes. Participants can expect repetition in activities so that players can focus on learning fundamental soccer skills and physical literacy movements (20-minute ball activities, 2 x 15-minute halves).

Timbits U6-U7

The U6/U7 program is designed to introduce players to preliminary soccer skills. This fun environment is full of differing soccer activities focused on physical literacy such as ball control, running with the ball, 1v1, and shooting. This program is designed to develop and prepare players to enter the Rep/Development programs, or if the player prefers to continue in recreational. The program is led by technical staff supported by volunteer assistants. Activities will be repeated to allow players more time and practice these skills and techniques needed for the game (20-minute ball activities, 2 x 15-minute halves).

U8-U9

Players will receive one game weekly, officiated and facilitated by Game Leaders. Teams will be led by volunteer coaches who will run 10-minute ball activities before session kick-off. Teams will play 5v5 with a goalkeeper (10-minute ball activities, 2 x 20-minute halves).

U10-U11

Players will receive one game weekly, officiated by Match Officials. Teams will work with their volunteer coaches on sessions and development. Teams will play 7v7 with a goalkeeper (10-minute ball activities, 2 x 25-minute halves).

U12-U13

Players will receive one game weekly, officiated by Match Officials. Teams will work with their volunteer coaches on sessions and development. Teams will play 9v9 with a goalkeeper (2 x 35-minute halves).

U14+

Players will receive one game weekly, officiated by Match Officials. Teams will work with their volunteer coaches on sessions and development. Teams will play 11v11 with a goalkeeper (2 x 45-minute halves).
