Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

RE: COVID-19

 Updated: April 6, 2020

Is the Brams United Office open? How do we contact the Club?

For the safety of our members, staff and volunteers, the Brams United office is closed until further notice. Our staff are monitoring our e-mails Monday-Friday to assist the membership. During this time, please send all inquiries to customerservice@bramsunited.ca and we will be sure to assist in a timely manner.

What happens to the remaining Winter Indoor Programs (House League, Parent & Tot, Competitive)?

The Club acknowledges that Recreational teams missed their final Winter Indoor games, and the Competitive Programs have not been able to participate in training or games due to COVID-19. We are actively monitoring the situation and once we have a confirmed return to play date, we will be able to properly assess the full impact on programs and follow-up with the membership directly regarding any adjustments and changes.

Will there be a Summer Recreational Program?

Due to recent announcements by Ontario Soccer, all sanctioned soccer programs are cancelled for the month of April. Brams United has made the decision that Summer Recreational Programs will look to commence after May 31, 2020. We will continue to send updates as we know the return to play date. It is imperative to the Club that our membership has the time to return to their normal routines before the season. As an organization, we can assure our membership that we are preparing various scenarios that allow the member to receive the full value of the original programming.

I am interested in registering for Summer Programs, but uncertain about the impact of COVID-19.

We understand that COVID-19 has had an impact on households and the decision for activities once we return to play. In order to assist families, we are offering a Waitlist Registration option for the 2020 Summer Recreational Programs. Members who are interested in registering for the 2020 Summer season but uncertain about payment at this time are encouraged to contact our Customer Service to be registered to the age group Waitlist. Members may then complete their registration two (2) weeks prior to the first game (or arrange payment plan). Should the season not commence, members will be entitled to a full refund.

Are there resources I can use at home to stay active?

Brams United is actively updating our membership with resources and online tools they can use from the safety of their homes. These resources will be shared for the athletes, referees, coaches, and parents to access and use when learning from home. Please visit our website to access our At-Home hub of resources: www.bramsunited.ca/brams-at-home-program/

When will the AGM be scheduled?

The deadlines for non-profits to hold their AGMs are now extended to:

  1. 90 days after the state of emergency is ended by the Ontario government.
  2. If the government ends the state of emergency within 30 days before your current deadline, then you have until 120 days after the state of emergency ends.

The Emergency Order is in effect province-wide and is retroactive to March 17, 2020, the day the Declaration of Emergency came into effect. The Club will contact the membership as soon as the state of emergency has ended to confirm a rescheduled date of the 2019 AGM.
